Horse Hoof Care

May 27th, 2010 by admin

Taking care of your horse’s feet will keep her happy and healthy. Proper hoof care will save your horse pain, save you trips to the veterinarian, and keep your horse doing what its supposed to be doing.  The best way to keep your horses hooves in good working order is to give them daily inspections.  Brief inspections should include looking for cracks, punctures, abscesses, and a bacteria infection known as thrush.  Doing this will allow you to fix any hoof problems before they get out of control.  This will also keep your horse from going though unnecessary amounts of pain.
