This is why teachers choose their profession

‘How do you handle the sheer volume of customers asked Mr. Samson with a hint of nervousness to his voice. The crowd must have made quite the impression on him, I thought, but answered him calmly and exhaustively, as befits an honoured guest of the house. I told him everything else he wished to know as well, and by the end of the day he knew about pretty much everything there is to this job, including how to handle a cash register, how to keep track of who ordered what, recipes, consumer protection regulations, the names of all the staff.  I still think he really learned a lot that day, and even though we never spoke again, I can’t shake the feeling that wherever he is now, what he learned from me must have helped him get his own restaurant going for sure, and it makes me proud because I know he must be great at it.
