I was coming back from a visit to my daughter who lives on the other side of town.  I visit her at least every other week to spend some time with my grandsons.  Other times she visits me or we all go to the zoo together.  Since I don’t drive I have to take the city bus which is very convenient.  It is an hour and fifteen minute ride but enjoy every moment of it.  I meet new people, make friends and engage in enriching conversations or quietly watch the city and its people pass by.  On this particular ride, I had a book with me that I intended to read.  However, I couldn’t stop myself from listening to the conversations of the two young women sitting across from me.  One was pregnant and was showing the other the things she had just purchased.  All for a green baby, so little and cute.  I overheard her saying that she really wanted to buy organic baby clothing but they were too expensive for her.  I could tell that she was the kind of person who tried to do the right thing.  I only hope that the increasing demand for organic products will encourage more manufacturers to change methods and organics become more and more affordable.
