Easing the Pain of Hemorrhoids

November 30th, 2009 by admin

Hemorrhoid pain and discomfort is normal.  Sufferers often complain of painful burning and itching.  While some discomfort is to be expected, appropriate hemorrhoid treatment can ease pain and suffering.  When dealing with a new diagnosis of hemorrhoids, always remember to:•    Eat your veggies!  Mom was right, vegetables are good for you!  The fiber found in green, leafy vegetables will help to bulk up stools and allow them to pass smoothly out of your body.•    Drink plenty of water.•    Take a sitz bath.  Fill the tub with enough hot water to cover your hips and sit in the tub for 15-30 minutes several times daily.•    Keep moving!  Continue your regular exercise program and don’t sit or stand for long periods of time.
