I Study Music after I have My Tea

December 13th, 2009 by admin

I know that I am not the best guitar player on Earth, but I am working on it. I started playing about six months ago, and I decided some lessons were needed. I could not figure out things on my own, even though I know I am quite smart. I decided to start my lessons after tea time; this guitar practice schedule is working out well for me. I take my tea at high noon, then I do the lessons. I always tell the butler to make sure the wing is kept quite so I can concentrate on the task as at hand. It is good to find such great help, when you need it.

Play Sharp The Celtic Harps

November 27th, 2009 by admin

I am really fond of playing this instrument. I know that not too many people likes it or has ever thought of trying it. I know that it is going to be really perfect if we can find a place to have these instruments appreciated. You know the instruments of other countries, they are great. I can only play the celtic harps though. It is really a matter of trying to learn. I am always busy and always out so it is really difficult for me to get into all of the instruments. The celtic harps are the only things that I got to learn while I was still enjoying idle moments. I am willing to learn other instruments though aside from the celtic harps because I really find them amazing.

Inspiring Use of Glitter Glue

November 21st, 2009 by admin

Yesterday my 7 year old son was particularly inspired. He surprises me sometimes with his intense creativity. I just had to capture the moment. Lately, his favourite medium is glitter glue. His Nana sent him a glitter glue set for his birthday and he is making some great things with it.  His method is unusual, first he layers the glue  on to the paper. Then he takes a paint brush and smears, swirls and smudges the glitter glue. The result? Unbelievable! I am just the assistant in this, I keep the lemonade and sweets close by, help unscrew the tubes and of course de-glitter sticky hands!

Save up and buy a cheap bass guitar

November 20th, 2009 by admin

Jed learned to play the bass guitar from his diseased father, that was the only thing he can give to his son. Since his father died, Jed always plays the bass guitar so he always barrows the bass guitar of his friend. Every time he plays the guitar it makes him feel at ease.

Because it turned out that he always barrows his friends bass guitar most of the time, his friends suggested a place for Jed to buy his own bass guitar. It’s been a while now that he’s been saving up to buy cheap bass guitar, so he doesn’t always have to barrow from his friend when he wants to play.

Download Free Ares for Good Music

November 20th, 2009 by admin

We aregoing to have a craw fish boil next week, and we need some good music to play.  It is going to be a company picnic, and the guys like to listen to old rock and roll.  My son took care of this problem for us.  I told him to find a program online that he could use to download some good music.  His friend told him to Download Free Ares, and he would find whatever he needed.  The next weekend came and the music was there.  That website proved to be very helpful.  I am going to get him make some CD’s for my brother, who loves country and western music.

Travelling with the Girl Band

November 15th, 2009 by admin

My school year is almost completed. I’ve done well in my grades. I really hope my parents are pleased, especially when I tell them what I want to do for the summer. I want to tour with the best female group out there. I’ve already been in touch, and my job will be to be an errand runner, basically. I’m actually going to be called their personal assistant, but I know that just means being at their beck and call. Why would I want to subject myself to the demands of a group of girl rock musicians you ask? The answer is simple. I love their music, Oh yes, and did I mention that the lead singer is my oldest sister?

Homeschooling Wonders

November 11th, 2009 by admin

As a homeschooling mom, my main objective has always been to make learning fun. By doing this, I ensure that my kids  want to continue learning on their own. What I didn’t count on was how much I would learn. We pick a subject and go over the main points and touch on the highlights. Then my kids are off to delve into the matter more thoroughly. Recently we looked at various instrument types. Now my oldest is hooked on the guitar. Not only have I learned the parts of a guitar, I have also learned the different varieties and price ranges. Not what you would typically learn in school.

Which Vocal Lessons on DVD do Singers Like?

November 4th, 2009 by admin

A lot of singers are looking for vocal lessons on DVD to increase their vocal skills.  Even if you’ve been taking lessons from a coach, a DVD can be a great way to continue the process.  It’s going to usually take some consistency as a singer to make some decent progress.  If you’re just taking lessons from a coach once or twice a week, but not putting in 20 minutes per day, you won’t really be able to hold notes longer.  Some of the DVDs made by famous coaches, such as Brett Manning and Per Bristow are good for home lessons.  It’s also good to record yourself singing or you can record your practices in your house.  This enables you to hear your true voice.
